Workspace and team
Each DataParade account has a personal workspace (created when you sign up). You can belong to more than one workspace and switch which one is active for the dashboard, assets catalog, and diagrams.
Open Workspace in the sidebar to manage the active workspace. The page has these sections:
| Section | Path | Who can use it |
|---|---|---|
| Settings | /workspace | All members — rename the workspace, switch active workspace |
| Usage | /workspace/usage | All members — workspace scan slots and platform AI token consumption |
| Access keys | /workspace/keys | Owners only — create and revoke CLI access keys (for future CLI use) |
| Activity | /workspace/activity | All members — recent scans and key events |
| Teams | /workspace/team | Owners invite and manage members; all members can view the team |
For limits, when quota is deducted, and how pre-scan project estimates work, see Workspace scan quotas.
Roles
| Role | What you can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Full control: rename the workspace, invite and revoke invitations, change member roles, remove members, create and revoke CLI access keys, and edit all workspace content. |
| Editor | Create and edit diagrams, assets, and third parties in that workspace (same as the owner for day-to-day diagram work). Can view Usage and Activity. |
| Viewer | Read-only: browse diagrams and catalogs but cannot create assessments, edit the canvas, or change registry entries. Can view Usage and Activity. |
Settings
On Workspace → Settings you can:
- Rename the workspace (owners only).
- Switch workspace when you belong to more than one — choose Switch next to the workspace you want. The dashboard, Assets, Third Parties, and new diagrams then use the active workspace.
Usage and Activity
- Usage shows how many workspace scan slots and platform AI tokens your workspace has consumed. This includes hosted scans and CLI scans that run with workspace platform AI. See Workspace scan quotas for defaults, deductions, and pre-start estimates.
- Activity lists recent scan starts, completions, failures, quota blocks, and (for owners) API key create/revoke events.
Access keys
Workspace owners can create up to five active CLI access keys on Access keys. Each key is shown only once at creation; store it securely. Keys authenticate CLI upload and auto-upload to the dashboard (Upload to dashboard) and platform AI scans when inference is enabled. Upload does not use quota; platform AI quota behavior is covered in Workspace scan quotas.
Teams (owners)
On Workspace → Teams, owners can:
- Click Invite people, enter an email, and choose Editor or Viewer.
- See Members and change roles (editor / viewer). Accepted invitees appear under Members.
- See Pending and Expired invitations in one table under Invitations. A badge appears only for unseen expired invitations; it clears when you open the Invitations tab.
- Revoke a pending invitation.
- Remove a member (not the owner).
Inviting someone
- Open Workspace in the sidebar and go to Teams.
- Click Invite people, enter their email, and choose Editor or Viewer.
- They receive an email with an Accept invitation link (valid for 30 days).
If email delivery fails, the owner may see a copy link option to send the invite manually.
Accepting an invitation
- Open the link from the email (or the copied invite URL).
- Sign in or sign up with the same email the invitation was sent to.
- After authentication, the invitation is accepted automatically and that workspace becomes available.
If you use a different email than the invite, acceptance will fail — sign out and sign in with the invited address, or ask the owner to send a new invite.
